We are extremtely proud of our grdautes and their accomplishments.  This year's class (2010) is the 19th class to graduate from the Emergency Medicine Residency Program.  Our graduates are doing a variety of interesting and amazing things.

Did you know?...

  • Lawrence Kass, MD (class of 1993) and Kirk Mills, MD (class of 1992) are both recent recipients of the ACEP National Emergency Medicine Faculty Teaching Award
  • Ashwin Prabhu, MD (class of 2006) is a staff physician for NASA in Florida.  He is a member of the clinical faculty at the Shands/University of Florida EM residency program in Gainesville
  • Lawrence Kass, MD (class of 1993) is the Residency Program Director in Emergency Medicine at Penn State University – Hershey
  • Brent Becker, MD (class of 2010) will be completing an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at the University of California-Irvine.  This prestigious program is directed by Chris Fox, MD, one of the premier leaders/mentors in emergency ultrasound in the U.S.
  • Leroy Nickles, MD (class of 2005) is the Associate Director of the Emergency Department at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, NY
  • Charles Marley, DO (class of 1993) is the Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA) at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
  • Beatrice Hoffmann, MD, PhD, RDMS (class of 2003) is the Ultrasound Fellowship Director at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.  She was recently named the Chair of the national SAEM Ultrasound Interest Group
  • Andrew Kepner, MD (class of 2004) is the Medical Director of the multidisciplinary Medical Simulation Center here at York Hospital
  • Erik Salib, DO (class of 2004) completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Wright State University and practices sports medicine and emergency medicine in Southern California
  • Scott McCurley, MD (class of 2000) is Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville, PA
  • Noelle Rotondo, DO (class of 1998) is the Course Co-Director for the PaACEP Written Board Review Course.  She is also a member of the PaACEP Board of Directors and serves as a Councillor representing the State of  Pennsylvania at the national ACEP Council Meeting
  • Jessica Racusin, MD (class of 2004) is the Vice President of Vermont ACEP and serves as a Councillor representing the State of Vermont at the national ACEP Council Meeting
  • Peter Later, DO (class of 2005) is Director of Emergency Medicine at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, CT
  • Kirk Mills, MD  (class of 1992) completed a toxicology fellowship and is currently working on the toxicology/emergency medicine faculty at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University
  • Todd Fijewski, MD (class of 2001) was recently elected to the PaACEP Board of Directors.  He joins residency graduates Noelle Rotondo, DO (class of 1998) and Michael Bohrn, MD (class of 2001) on the Board of Directors.
  • Noelle Rotondo, DO (class of 1997) was recently appointed to the position of Secretary of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (PaACEP)
  • Liam Holtzman, DO (class of 2004) completed a Tactical EMS Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University and has worked extensively with the United States Secret Service and also as an active duty State Trooper with the Florida State Police.  He was previously a member of the clinical faculty at the Shands/University of Florida EM residency program in Gainesville and has recently returned to the clinical faculty at Johns Hopkins University. 
  • Gregory Roth, MD (class of 1995) is Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital-City Center in San Antonio, TX
  • Ravinder Dhallan, MD, PhD, MBA (class of 1998) is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RavGen, Inc., a biogenetics firm he founded, in Columbia, Maryland
  • Joseph Clark, DO (class of 2004) is Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA  
  • Michael Coriale, MD (class of 1999) is the Site Director for the York Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA
  • David Vega, MD (class of 2005) is the Immediate Past President of the Young Phyisicans’ Section of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM), having served as the founding President of the Section.  He is also a member of the national AAEM Board of Directors and the Editor of AAEM's Common Sense newsletter (with a distribution of over 6000 AAEM members)
  • Christopher Alban, MD (class of 1995) is a Medical Informatics specialist with Epic Systems Corporation in Madison, Wisconsin
  • Heather Rozzi, MD (class of 2004) is the Medical Director of the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Team here at York Hospital.  She  coordinates the activities of our local DOVE Team as well, and is very active as a charter member of the ACEP Forensics Section.  She is the Councillor representing the Forensics Section at the ACEP national Council Meeting yearly
  • Dawn Ellison, MD (class of 1994) is the founder of Influencing Healthcare, LLC, an organization dedicated to improving communications in healthcare with the goal of building collaborative medical cultures.  She is active in clinical EM practice in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area
  • Jennifer Dow, MD (class of 1997) is the President of the Alaska Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). She was recently named a Hero of Emergency Medicine for Alaska as part of an ACEP recognition program, and has served as an ACEP Councillor for several years, representing the State of Alaska at the national ACEP Council Meeting.  Jenn is also active as a Medical Advisor for both the National Ski Patrol and the National Park Service.  She is living and working in Anchorage, AK
  • Eric Bowman, MD (class of 1997), Jennifer Dow, MD (class of 1997), and Aaron Brillhart, MD (class of 2008) have been named  Fellows of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM).  They join a select group of physicians who have earned this honor.
  • Michael Bohrn, MD (class of 2001) received the June Klinghoffer, M.D. Clinical Educator Award from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2009.  He is also a member of the PaACEP Board of Directors
