Experience That Lasts A Lifetime.
Welcome to the York Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program’s webpage. Our Emergency Medicine Residency Program is a three year program utilizing a PGY-1, 2, 3 format, leading to eligibility for certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). Our program is fully accredited by the ACGME-RRC and received an 8 year accreditation approval as part of a select group of programs participating in a pilot program.
The residency program is based at York Hospital, a busy community teaching hospital, and provides additional patient care experiences at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Chambersburg Hospital, and the Pinnacle Health Toxicology Center at Harrisburg Hospital. These diverse centers provide an outstanding breadth of training experiences.
Our residency program is clinically oriented and stresses patient contact and decision making at all levels of training. We take pride in telling other physicians from around the world that our residents are exceptionally well-prepared for clinical, administrative, or academic practice.
Please take a look at details of our residency program on this website. We are very proud of our training program and the people who make York Hospital an outstanding choice for your future training in emergency medicine.
